Just bought one of the Asus RT-N56's
All set up and working fine, moving over all internet devices to it and I'm stumped on this one.

Wireless networks are fine, got a few iphones and ipads running fine from them.

PC is 1 room away, so only 1 brick wall, old router managed this with at least 3 bars out of 5.

PC cannot pick up the network, SSID is not shown, however the wireless card is switched on and working as it was before swapping routers and can pick up other networks locally (2 in total both with 1 bar)

Any ideas as this one has me...

Card certainly supports N and the router is set to auto so should be fine. iPhone's pick up the 2.4ghz channel no problem, I just can't get my head round why a pc card won't.
I may try another wireless card to see if that helps.

Think i got to the bottom of this in the end.
I had to open the PC in question as the graphics card was throwing artifacts, removed graphics card and tenda wireless card. Popped in the previous d-link g network card and it hit full strength in the same room.
Guess the card just threw a duffer.

I don't understand how it worked fine, swapped to a better router and it cabbaged though. Never mind, d-link gets full signal, opposite sides of adjacent rooms with thick wall in the way
