Looking for an x64 Vista compatible wireless card, wouldn't be too hard you would think? Main problem i am encountering is that its for a small form factor Dell GX520 PC (chassis is only 90mm wide, not sure on the PCI card height though) so needs a smaller back plate on it. I've contacted Netgear to see if they do as i currently have a chopped down WG311v2 card in it (which isn't supported on Vista but does work in 32bit although a bit flaky, but when i install into x64 it throws a wobbly and wont see any networks) but they advised to just go for a USB type.
Firstly, anyone know of a decent range PCI card (it has to go about 30ft through a floor and two walls) that will fit into a SFF chassis?
Secondly, if i need to go USB, what are the better USB versions out there? I looked at some of the N+ devices that connect via USB and have an external desk aerial to them but as i haven't been in the wireless market i was wondering what devices are getting good reviews?
cheers
