Hi all.

I'm after a wireless charger to charge a Nexus 7 (2013) and also a Nexus 4. The N7 lives in the lounge, and is in case.

I don't mind spending a bit on one - I don't want to faff around trying to line it up on the charger. Is the official LG / Nexus one any good? Not keen on having to try and balance the device on it.

I've looked at reviews, and all the decent ones seem to be US only or OOS everywhere. Any suggestions, what do you guys use?

I use a Maxell Air Voltage, it works well. Has a super bright blue LED on it to indicate charging. I taped over it.

That looks like it'll do the job. How fussy about location on the mat is it? Does it emit any annoying high frequency noises?

ShakenNstirred - That looks a bit small, is it a pain to align and make sure it is charging. Also - the reviews say it does get quite hot :/

Rizo-UK - does that stay as cool as it says, also what is it like for alignment / charging time.

small, how large do you want it lol
its 6in x 3in, you know its charging because you will hear the N7 tell you with its charging tone when it first connects.
no alignment problem, you just centre the N7 on it, I just put mine on it and off it goes, there is no sliding about on it to find the sweet spot
cant say I have felt it hot.

It's not super fussy, I've dropped the N5 on it at some strange angles and it's charged.

It doesn't make any high pitched noises, but it does make a clicking (if you get close enough to listen for it) when not in use, apparently that's not uncommon with Qi chargers, polling for a device, perhaps?
