This isn't the first time I've tried to decide on a replacement for the emprex 5139H I'm currently using, but now I am pretty determined to go wireless, at least as far as keyboards are concerned - I won't be giving up my SS ikari laser any time soon! ;)

I bought that emprex because I can't stand wide keyboards with the numeric keypad, plus it has a decent layout with the few shortcuts (play/pause, volume) that I regularly use. It also copes well with the occasional game.

So I'm looking for something with the same form factor, but wireless with decent connectivity, able to be used for casual gaming.

I would look at the dinovo edge, but it is way, way beyond anything I'm willing to spend (~<£50).

At the moment it's a toss up between:
1. Microsoft arc
2. Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000
3. Apple wireless mini keyboard
each with some small downside.

Any others I should consider? :)

Edit: Now I've seen the logitech k400, and although I could do without the trackpad, it's ardly much bigger than the microsoft arc.

I realise this is a bit of a thread resurrection but the OP pretty much sums up what I was looking for!

I'm after a keyboard (wired or wireless) without the numeric keypad for general use and a bit of gaming. I find the numpad gets in the way when I'm using the mouse and means having to sit at an awkward angle which I'm finding uncomfortable.

I've tried using a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 (which has a detachable keypad) and whilst this was great for gaming MS have shrunk the keys slightly and it's ruined my touch typing accuracy!

Any other suggestions or recommendations? If the OP is still lurking it would be interesting to know what they bought?
