Wireless connection dropping.

Hey lads, well basically just got a Belkin wireless router. The current setup atm is Cable Modem > Wired Router > Wireless Router (Acting as a Switch).

The laptop has no problem finding the wireless connection and can connect to it but after about a minute the connection just drops.

Then it tried to reconnect and it's just a continuous circle.

Any help would be appreciated.
Chears.

I normally find it's the manufacturers wireless software for the wireless adapter that causes those problems. If not already, try switching to using MS Windows wireless control.

This.

They all do it; Belkin, Linksys, Netgear - and it's all rubbish. WHY do they do it?

Try upgrading the router firmware.

Yep, defo check your firmware version. Also you could try changing your wireless's channel number, I have on very rare occasions seen multiple wireless signals in a local area cause problems when they are all using the same channel.

EDIT: let me clarify jic, change your routers wireless channel number then change all connecting devices to detect on the same channel number (if they don't auto-detect which they should anyway).
