Wireless connection problem.

A friend is running a laptop with a clean install of XP Pro.
It has an Intel built-in wireless adapter.
The router is a Linksys WAF54GS and one other PC is connected to it by way of Netgear XE102 ethernet bridges. This PC can connect no problem.
The laptop can connect initially but the connection keeps dropping after about 20 mins. The network is unsecured and all of the configuration settings in the router are correct.
I have exchanged the router once and the problem still occurs. The laptop is in the same room as the router.
sorry for the longwinded post but I am at my wits end
any help would be great

any driver updates for the internal card? Check the laptop site or intel.

Have not tried that but I'm going out today with an external adapter to see if that makes any difference. I will also check for driver updates

yea sounds more like a problem with the laptop, check drivers etc, try another wireless adaptor?
