i have an asus A7J
when i'm connected to my wireless router, it will download fine for a while, but then it will just stop, and i have to re-connect to the router, or disconnect the wireless on the laptop, or restart the router.
this gets very annoying, especially when trying to stream videos, as i have to reload the page and start from the beginning
although it only seem to happen when downloading, especially near the maximum speed..
its on windows MCE, i've upgraded the intel pro wireless software and driver to the latest ones, although the internet also disconnects using the windows wireless software..
sometimes the laptop stays connected to the router, but the internet doesn't work, (ie) speed is 0
other times it disconnects from the router and won't re-connect easily.
the router atm is a linksys wrt54g, but it also happens with my belkin wireless cable router..
any ideas?
maybe its a heat issue? the laptop does get very hot, and i need to clean it at some stage..
the screen has all these green lines on it from time to time - i presume that's the gfx card overheating but maybe they're related?
cheers
