wireless connection

Im sick to death of wireless connection im going back to cable!
my computer is about 3 meters away from my router but all the time it never connects at the full 54mbps its always like 2mbps and signal strength is always low!

any ideas?

Router near and metal objects...?

Try moving it away, also watch for wireless phones and other such stuff, microwaves is another one.

However, as I got that list from the Netgear site about 2 years ago thats all I can offer for now.

Could also be a few other things.

I spent a year with wireless and just moved back to cable, im so happy, i can now fully use my 10mb, before my signal always used to go low and my downloads would slow down.
