hi all,

Looking for some help.

I have now installed a wireless network card in my PC and have it working, connecting etc etc. now the problem I have is that every now and again, maybe once an hour or so, it loses connection to the internet. Signal strength is fine, it says it can see the router (but havnt had a chance to test it yet) but can not access the internet at all, just simply loses it. This down time lasts for anything between 5 and 10 minutes and just suddenly happens.

I know the internet is fine as i can acces it using different pcs and the wireless card in the laptop works fine.

The adapter is a standard Linksys wireless 54g adapter running in Vista 64 Ultimate. The router is a standard black O2 wireless box.

Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause?

Sounds like interferance from something to me, I had loads of trouble last year an my student house with finding a channel that would work for everyone all over the house. If it is however still doing it after the channel change, try new drivers.

Hi, just a quick update. I have changed the channel it is running on and all seems fine now.

Thanks for your help :)
