Just a quick question really:

Generally, how long can you get out of your xbox controller before the battery dies? I replaced the batteries 3 days ago and already my controller keeps turning itself off whilst ingame.

Kodak at the moment, before that it was Energizer, they didn't last long either.

The cheaper batterys tend to go really fast. Best going to a pound shop to pick up loads of good name batterys cheap. I get packs of Sony ones (x12) for a pound and they last a decent amount of time.

Get ... a proper battery pack?

This.

I've got two (for two controllers) and when one is fully charged, it will last me about a month of on-off usage. Played on the xbox all this weekend and used about 1-2 bars of battery from fully charged. :)

I have some Sanyo Eneloop batteries in my 360 controller, 3 months now and still don't need re-charging :O

I just use the official MS rechargeable packs. I get at least 2 weeks of use out of mine with them being used most days.

2 weeks use? Crikey. I've got two new ones and after just a few hours use a couple of days a week, the ring on the pad starts flashing indicating charge needed.

the ring on the pad starts flashing when the batteries are about half empty lol or at least accordin to the battery meter in the blades

my play and charge kit lasts for a good 2 weeks or so with moderate use and the occasional heavy use

mine is on most of the day and a a play and charge kit lasts 3 or 4 days easily, i charge it overnight. at £12 it pays for its self in a few months.
