Does anybody know whether you get wider coverage with a 8011.b or 8011.g setup? I've just bought a new Linksys WAG354G (in the hope it will hang on to my ADSL connection better than my old Netgear 'b' kit).
As I still have the old Netgear b PCMCIA card for my laptop, I was wondering whether it was worth upgrading to a g card (specificallyl for wider/better coverage - I'm not fussed about speed as I only use my laptop for e-mail and web surfing).
Any views/advice most welcome.
Thanks.

Check the specs of your router...
In general 802.11b will give you a longer range as most routers out put this at a higher power. Typical values are 16dBm for 802.11b and 14dBm for 802.11g.
