Wireless dongle and Windows 7.

Anyone managed to get a wireless usb dongle working in Windows 7 64 bit?

I'v got a Linksys WUSB 300N and a BT voyager neither of which iv managed to get going.

Plugged it in and the drivers installed automatically - was onto my network in seconds.

Nice one, im using a power line adaptor and cable at the moment (i hate cables) if i cant get one of mine working i will try one of those you got.

Yeah, it's a nice piece of kit - incredibly small - but if you wireless router is a fair way away you might not get a good signal as the aerial must be tiny.

I've had to resort to 15m long network cable in my new house for that reason

Laptop gets on the net fine which is why I question the size of the aerial in the Edimax dongle.

Just had a look, i'l probably give the 300 mbps version by the same company a go. If it dont work its not the end of the world and il suffer the cable
