Wireless Dongle

Can someone confirm that the below will give me wireless access if I plug it into a standard USB port on a laptop that doesnt have wireless?

No reason why it shouldn't although don't expect a very good range.

Honestly there is no point of getting it. It will work but it won't very effective.
