Wireless for 6

I am not all that great with routers and was looking for some help. Could you point me in the right direction for what I will need for spec{

6 people in student house that will want to connect two devices to router;

Don't want a top of the range, will connect to Jamaica bit of kit but just something 6 budgeting students can live with

Shared between 6? Might as well just go all out and get an Asus router. Is it ADSL or cable?
