I've put this in connectivity rather than TV...

I need to run an RJ11 connection (phone) from my wall socket on one side of the room to the other for SkyTV to dial back* but I can't run a cable as I'll have to pull up the carpet I had fitted about 6mnths ago...

Does anyone know how I could do this wireless? I know you can run telephone data over ethernet for telephone switchboards...

Would an RJ11/voice work over Powerline adaptors, for example? I'm having a couple fitted to link my 360/PC/Router in the apartment, with the right socket adaptor could I plug the phone socket into one??

*The muppet at Sky who sold me SkyHD told me I "didn't need an active phone connection anymore"....tool

Hmm...I've just searched a bit more and people say that voice doesn't work over Powerline adaptors (voice is analogue, data is digital)

Which has screwed me. I've got the incoming telephone line, and two power plugs near it, one which powers the phone itself, the other which is used for the powerline (or will do, when I've bought it).

Any other ideas how I can get comms over to the Sky box whithout using a long cable??

Data over powelines to Sky TV .... from then a cordless telephone solution.....

You can get wireless extensions for about £50 - google for "DECT Wireless Phone Line Extender" and you should find it...
