Hi all,

I am thinking of adding a wireless keyboard and mouse to a second PC I have for sitting room use, occcasional gaming on the TV.

I did this years ago with an HTPC I built for that, but it was always compromised with heat in the case, but what really held it back was the keyboard and mouse that HTPC used.
I still have them in the loft, Keysonic Wiress mini sized affair, black but made of alloy if I remember maybe the 540 or similar, and Keysonic Wireless mouse. A little laggy and unresponsive at times.

I would like to have a more gaming orientated wireless keyboard. I have a Steelseries Sensei Wireless Mouse that has sat new in it's box unused for a couple of years, so something keyboard wise that suits that I guess.

My current in use keyboard and mouse are the Roccat Arvo Compact and Razer Deathadder, nothing too special but wires are not what I want in the sitting room.

It does surprise me with the glut of mechanical RGB keyboards that have been released this past year or so, that we've seen nothing at all new in respect to wireless. Wireless mice are becoming more popular, with Logitech and Asus releasing (expensive) gaming oriented ones, so it seems odd keyboards have been left in the dark. Perhaps just because most people don't need or want wireless. I prefer a wire free desk though, and am currently using a Logitech K800 which is a great all rounder IMO. It's not gaming oriented, but I use it as such and have no issues. I can't say how it compares to a mechanical keyboard though, as I never really got on with them due to the key sound, I prefer more silent keys.

Serious gamers have massive hissy fits with wireless, even when certain technology is proven to be similar in response to wired. I can use both types and have no issues with either. A decent gaming wireless keyboard wouldn't go amiss and no doubt it'd need a massive battery as rgb is in everything currently and the manufacturers seriously think nothing will sell without glowing coloured orbs of light.

Varmillo VB87M Bluetooth keyboard is the only wireless keyboard comes to my mind. It is great but hard to find and expensive to import due to the built-in battery.
