I'm after something that's going to be accurate, has a few buttons on the side (not hundreds, I don't like the idea of the naga, though obviously that's wired anyway) and is sturdy enough to fall off my desk the odd time.
I've been looking around for a while, the Logitech ones don't feel very comfy to me and the buttons feel cheap.
I like the look of the Mamba, it has the side buttons but they feel cheap and I'm not 100% sure about the size/weight/feel of it and I've never got to try it plugged in.
I had a RAT9 that was faulty, when it worked it was excellent, but I didn't get a proper chance to have a look around last time (mainly because I had to buy with vouchers and the shop I was buying at had very limited mice). It's since been returned and I have another chance to look around before I get anything. Also being able to switch out the batteries on the fly was a brilliant advantage for me. I play on the sofa so wired isn't really an option and if I had a mamba (for example) and the batteries ran out, I'd be stuffed.
I have a MS X5 and it's alright but it feels clunky. It feels like it was made by Land Rover and those classic clunks that LRs make when you put on the handbrake for example are transferred to the feel on hte mouse wheel. It puts me off getting the X8 because I tried one briefly and it felt very similar.
At the moment I'm swaying towards getting another RAT9 but I thought I'd check my options. I don't have a min budget per se, but I want something good quality.
Thanks!

I found the cable always gets in the way. If I have anything on my desk the cable is garuanteed to get caught in it, if I don't have anything it'll somehow manage to get caught on the edge of the mouse mat (i don't even know how, it's happened a few times though). I ended up using a crap packard bell wireless mouse (that came with my PC) over the Microsoft X5 for just that reason.
