wireless / gigabit lan / adsl router combos

hiho

does anyone know of another all in one combo jobbie that compairs to the Dlink DGL-4300. it seems to be the only one that has gigabit lan ports aswell as fast wireless.

however it doesnt have adsl modem :/

i suppose i dont mind getting a seperate modem but would prefer all in one box. but need fast wirelss and would really like gigabit LAN.

any suggestions more than welcome

Easier (and probably cheaper) with ADSL router + gigabit switch.

but wouldnt the router slow the traffic to 100mb/s ?

Only the router traffic would be 100mb/s, and it won't be using anywhere near that amount of traffic anyway.

ok so the ppl connected to the switch will still operate at the 1000mb speed?
the switch is smart enough to take the connection by itself and bypass the router?

yeh, everybody who is connected to the switch with a gigabit adaptor will get gigabit speeds to each other, but won't to the router. The router won't be able to make full use of 100mb/s let alone 1gbp/s. Only thing that would get anywhere near that would be something like the Netgear Rangemax 240, but afaik thats 100mpbs total rather than the 200mbps that ethernet would use.
