Hi All.

Hopefully I am in the right place

I am in need of some advice, and I apologise in advance for my lack of technical knowhow.

We have a bit of a strange scenario, so I will try and outline it as simple as I can .

We currently have 4 projectors, all in separate rooms. We only use them to watch movies and TV. We would like to have a headphone basestation for each projector which is each capable of pairing 6 headphones. The basestation will be out of direct sight so I believe this rules out infrared?

Each basestation needs to operate individually to the selected 6 headphones, however the headphones will need to be interchangeable between basestations ( so no use in buying four different brands ) the headphones themselves would ideally be powered by changeable battery ( not rechargeable ) and doesn't really matter to much on the sound quality.

I have contacted a few companies but they arent that helpful and only point you in the direction of their website..

If there is anybody who could offer any sort of advice on this it would be great.

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the recommendation, we have looked at those but couldn't find anywhere written with regards to changing frequency, we did contact Sennheiser but they didn't reply.
Was hoping someone had experience with a setup like the one we are
after ?
Again thanks. ....

Yeah it is a bit strange to be fair, it's commercial so not just a house setup..
It is 4 saturation dive chambers, we have projectors outside of each that project to a screen inside.

Currently we have a Jack lead with a multi connection point where we can all plug in our headphones . We need the basestation outside the chambers as there isn't a power source we can use for it .

As there are 4 chambers, we can be put in anyone at any time, hence the reason they all need to be compatible with each basestation,

Said it wasn't simple, we have tried to find a company that could supply and fit however there doesn't seem to be any !!! Maybe it isn't possible, but we thought we'd try ....Thanks

Sennheiser RS120II has a channel select, but it has three channels, not the four you'd require. The RS120II is an older analogue RF model (still available), but Sennheiser have since switched to making digital RF headphones, which is more resistant to interference than analogue. From what I can see, none of their digital based RF models has a channel select though, not even the top RS195 model.

Not sure why they haven't incorporated a channel selector into any of their digital RF headphones, but even if they did, unlikely to see more than three. Being products aimed at home theatre use, the majority of users won't require more than one base station, let alone 3 or more.

I think you'll likely need a specialist system that is designed more for a professional cinema, assuming there are companies that make wireless headphone systems for multiple screen cinemas.

Hi, thanks very much for your informative reply. We thought it would ever difficult to do. I have just contasted another company in Germany, who specialise in silent discos ! Hopefully they may have a solotion.

Thanks again
