will a wireless headphone base plug into any of the other ports here and work ok?

That picture isn't showing up.

Unless the soundbase has an audio output, then you can't connect headphones to it. What TV is it?

There's no audio output on the Denon, so you'll need either RCA audio out or headphone out on the TV in order to connect any kind of headphones; unless the TV has Bluetooth audio out which you could use.

Do you know what audio connections the TV has, or specifically which model of Bravia, because there's an awful lot of them.

Just before Christmas I purchased the Mee audio AFT-1 connect and AKG y50bt headphones to replace my audio technica Headphones. The Mee plugs straight into the optical and usb powered really happy with them both.
