Wireless headphones for gym use

I'm tired of getting my wired headphones caught around weights/machines when at the gym. I would like to purchase some wireless headphones and want to ask for your suggestions on which will be suitable.

1) Do wireless headphones actually work when on the treadmill or pushing weights, or do they lose connectivity through all the jumping around?
2) Is there a brand or model that keep connectivity better than others?
3) Is there a set of headphones out there that act as a music player itself (i.e. you download the music to the headphones itself and have the controls built in)?
4) Do you guys suggest in-ear, over-ear, or on-ear styles?
5) Are they any wireless headphones out there that handle sweat better than others?

Anything else I need to take into consideration??

Thanks.

The jabra pulses I got with my new phone work very well. However they give me a headache after a while but that's after 3 or 4 hours.

funnily enough I spent my morning researching this, I think I've settled for either the Jaybird x2 or Jaybird freedom's, worth looking into...

I had a similar issue with headphones for running as the wire annoyed the hell out of me. Bought some Plantronics BackBeat Fit Bluetooth Headphones and i love them. Sound quality is good enough for me and they direct the audio into your ear and not block everything out so you can still hear what's going on (handy for country lanes). Even use them to listen to my audiobook when I'm working in the garden.

I've had a pair of these for over 2 years that have held up through sweat/rain and lots of discharges/charges.

I'd imagine to audiophiles they wouldn't offer the best sound quality but does the job well enough for me, I like how they go over the ear to anchor as I found with just in ear buds they'd end up dropping out as I moved around. Only cut offs I've had seem to be when I throw my head violently to the right to do my blindspot check before crossing the road when running.

Cheap, cheerful, does the job for me. There is a newer version out there https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-...&qid=1466416892&sr=1-1&keywords=mpow+antelope

Anker SoundBuds Sports on Amazon are priced very well at the min. the jaybirds x2 look really nice, but seem quite pricey to me, just depends on budget i guess

Have had Powerbeats2 Wireless for over 2 years now, still going strong. They were pretty much the only wireless in-ears when I bought them, so there wasn't much choice but safe to say they sound great and the build/battery are so far standing the test of time.

Funny how you think of posting something, come online and there's already a post. Been doing research this morning for a pair and most reviews are saying how awesome the new Jlab Epic 2's are but unfortunately not due in the UK for a while.

Didn't see the price of these this morning and for £20 you cant go wrong so ordered a pair to try.

I've got the Jaybird X2s and they are probably the best in ear headphones I've owned. They are bluetooth and hold a charge for about 7-8 hours of playback. They are water resistant and the combined foam bud with the wings help to keep them securely in place.

I have to admit though, the most workouty type thing I do is walk up a very steep and long hill first thing in the morning but they have resisted the heavy rain we have had recently.

The sound quality is amazing. Very nice bass and lovely highs. I have sat for hours just listening to my music again to enjoy these amazing sounding earphones. They even hold up to Cypress Hill without distortion.
