Stuck on what to get my dad for Christmas. He's managed to break his wireless headphones so I was thinking of getting him a new pair. Any suggestions on brand/model? Looking in the region of £30.

lol best edit the link out :/

i got some philips ones and they seem to do a good job and sound good ,

where around 40 quid a while ago on the high street so youl probably find them cheaper on the web

Infrared cordless headphones are not all that good. You need line of sight between the transmitter and the headphones. Lots of interference.

Best bet is to go for cordless headphones which use FM radio waves - even these I find are subject to interference from washing machine / hoover / light switch getting switched on. I imagine you could get digital cordless headphones which transmit digitally?

Sennheiser RS 110-8 UK Headphones - £30 via google?

Not used them myself, but I've got some wired Sennheiser headphones and found them pretty decent :)

Got my dad these last year, not had any complaints out of him. Good sound quality and battery life considering wireless :)

A well know catalog company have a pair reduced from £40 to £20, panisonic, which I bought yesterday and seem ok. They are FM transmitted and say they work over 100m

Don't get the Sony ones!... I've a redundant pair because about 3 of our neighbors near me in have either the headphones or cordless speakers!, and all I can pick up (even with loads of re-tuning) is their music or telly!... :(

Probly cos their cheep and easy to get!... so every buggers got em!..

I've got a set of Sennheiser RS120s and if you can stretch your budget by another tenner I'd really recommend them.

I use them in a room full of all sorts of electrical gear and don't get any interference.
