Hey all

Have had a wireless network at home for a while now, and whilst everything seems to work properly, I'm at a loss as to how I can share folders between computers. All computers run Win XP Pro, and I imagine I somehow have to configure them to be in the same workgroup...
When I click on View Network Computers in My Network Places, it just says there are no computers on the network.

SO I guess I was wondering if someone could briefly explain how I'm meant to amend the network/computers so I can share files freely between computers.

Thanks in advance.

if you're running xp sp2 then i think the windows firewall is enabled by default. try turning it off and see what happens. and don't worry about turning it off - you're getting exactly the same protection from the outside world by your wireless router. :)

Right click on My Computer and then go to properties, computer name, change. In there verify that all the comptuers are on the same workgroup. As for folder sharing you will need to add sharing permissions to the folders, I run a domain so its a bit different, no doubt someone else will talk you through that. ^^

/Edit If no-one does, I'll get a non domain PC in front of me and go through it, just don't have one near me.
