Hi,

Can anyone recommend me some home plug adapters?

I would like to expand my wireless network within the house using these as the walls are too thick.

Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but for a simple extension of a wireless network, they would both provide the same thing? Speed isn't too much of an issue as it will just be for browsing and not streaming etc. If that is correct then the obvious choice for me would be adapters with the built in wireless and its less clutter and one less thing to plug in.

I have been looking at - TP link AV200

Is there anything better out there?

The built option is neater, but it does usually mean that the wireless ends up at ankle height, which isn't ideal.

The kit linked is quite an old model. Their TL-WPA4220KIT looks like a better option as it's AV500 based. Unfortunately OcUK don't seem to stock it.

Edit: Actually they do have it here. For some reason it's with the AV200 stuff.

Thanks for that. I think I will go for them as they also have Ethernet sockets on to plug in an access point if I find it a problem.

I have found them considerably cheaper elsewhere though...

I have used TP Link AV200 during the past two years (two connections XBox and a wireless access point) with no problems at all. Fit and forget, they just work.
