Hi

Does anyone know of any good wireless hotspot software.

Want to provide free, but traceable wireless access to our students, and want to install some cheap (up to around £500ish) software to enable us to do it.

Anyone had any experience of this at all ?

I am struggling using google, because I don't know if I am looking for "wireless" or "wifi"... "hotspot" or "portal"... just struggling.

Thanks :)

Well if they are using their own equipment on the network without a logon then you won't be able to log whos visited what.

Anyone whos using a logon you should be able to log their visted sites within windows for free.

What I mean is, if a student brings a laptop in, we are going to provide them free wireless access to the internet, via a backup ADSL router we have.

I want to put some gateway in between, which will stop them going out onto the internet with a logon box, and give them the usual "no warez, no porn" warnings, and to inform them they are being logged.

Something which Hotspot type software does... I hope.

If you give an individual logon to every student who wants to use it then it shouldn't be a problem for the software to do.

Well unless they connect to a proxy.
