Wireless keyboard and mouse won't work.

Up until today my Logitech wireless K360 keyboard and wireless M305 mouse were working fine, but then I was installing a new driver, of which I cannot remember.

Then both the mouse and keyboard stopped working, although the screen was working because I had bet365 running and that was updating.

So I turned the desktop off, turned it on again, loaded up, and the mouse and keyboard still refused to work.

I have tried putting in new batteries, unplugging the receivers and putting them into different USB slots, tried using different keyboards and mouse and still nothing.

I would also like to point out the the keyboard works fine in startup, so going into the bios is fine, but the second it goes into the Starting Windows then nothing.

I really do not know what to do, if there is an option of a system restore from the bios or whatever that would be swell.

If you have another KB and mouse try to install the driver for the wireless set again.

Or

If they work in safe mode perhaps remove the drivers for the wireless set and reboot

It wasn't the USB filter (AM3?) driver that was updating?.

If I go into safe mode, then I get the same results.

It might have been the USB filter updating , I don't really know.

I've tried an old keyboard and mouse, both of which do not work either.

Managed to get into System Repair using the cabled Keyboard and Mouse, but the repair could not find anything, so I restarted the desktop, and the keyboard and mouse would not work.

And seeing as I don't have a copy of Windows 7 at home, I will have to buy a copy and restore my desktop from that won't I?

As long as you have the Windows 7 serial then no, you won't need to buy it again. Have you tried System Restore using the old keyboard/mouse and restore to a date that the wireless set worked? Have you tried completely removing the wireless set drivers and re installing new ones from Logitech's site?

Also: specs?

I don't have the Windows 7 serial.

I can't even use my cabled keyboard/mouse to create a system restore, or even do anything.
