In case people are interested, the apple store in london has the new wireless keyboards in stock (I've been looking most weekends) and I can confirm they're both very small and pretty cool having purchased one. Won't be everybodies cup of tea as they are really small but great for my uses.

Can post photos compared to some stuff later if anybody is interested.

Cheers!

I apologise for the quality but it's getting late and i should be drinking wine and watching tv rather than playing with the flash strength on my compact...

enjoy your keyboard porn...

I'd be interested to know how you manage without Delete, Home / End and Page Up / Down keys as they are really the only things putting me off one of these :p

Well I'm a MBP user so I've never got used to having delete as I use my mac on the go a fair bit. that said, pg up/down and home/end are accessable through function+arrow keys on my laptop, I'm curious why they didn't carry that over...

I suspect you could probably get software to map them as there is an fn key, media controls are really handy. All in all I think it's pretty good, I picked up the box in the store and thought "god it's a bit small" but I think they got it just right, it's as small as it could be without being difficult to type on. It's about the same size as the keyboard on my work Dell Latitude D420 which means I'm kind of used to the size though and i have pretty small hands (not tiny though!)

Overall, top marks, suits me for what i wanted. But if you're a graphics pro and just wanted a desktop keyboard minus wires you'll likely be disappointed, grab one of the old version quick!

I wish they'd release a wireless one the same size as the wired one.

In fact, I wish they still sold the old ones! I might buy a spare one before they all go...

yeah, i figure some people will be upset by the size change. For me it's great but it's an interesting marketing decision if you consider the graphics design market.

but, the sexyness of having one of these and a mac mini as htpc setup is unimaginable. It'd be fantastic for that with a nice hdtv....

I've just downloaded keyboard update 1.2, and lo and behold i have home and end keys, fn+left/right arrow, just like a macbook pro. /they're not labled true but they work, thats a big improvement for me....scrolling to the end of these forums using a mighty mouse is not fun...

still do not see the use of it if you still use the mbp screen.
;)

MBP on stand at back of desk, means the screen is at a sensible level. As nice and minimilist as just having my MBP and mighty mouse on my desk is, it kills my neck after a while. So this way I have the screen at a decent level and the keyboard handy.

Also, the media controls means I can control itunes or DVD player without getting out of bed..

I actually tried one of those new keyboards on the weekend.

Surprised at the typing pleasure I got from it.. the way people were going on about "very low key travel" I expected it to be terrible, but it was fab!

Oh, and they had loads of iPod Touchs in the store I went to.. I was watching some bird playing with it shaking my head when she was trying to use the browser!.
