I like the idea of wireless mice and keyboards - less clutter no mouse tails to snag. But I've not had great experience with them.
I started out with a basic Microsoft combo - the mouse was fine but the keyboard used to skip keystrokes from day 1. Got a replacement and exactly the same. So went back to wired.
Later I tried a cheap Logitech combo. To be fair this worked well from the start and has lasted a few years. But now my keyboard has started playing up, missing keystrokes. Pretty intermittent - sometimes works great others are a real pain. Mouse is fine.
So time for a replacement and I'm a bit wary of wireless and thinking of going wired.
But I'm out of touch with technology.
I see there are two new types on the market - 2.4GHz and bluetooth.
Bluetooth is out of my budget but could stretch to 2.4Ghz.
But is 2.4Ghz any better. Will I see the same sorts of problems.
Also I've seen some mice being described as using laser - what are the benefits of this.
My PC gets daily use but mostly office, internet and some games now and then.
Appreciate any advice.
Cheers,
Nigel
