Wireless - Limited Connection

Hi there,

I have Windows 8 pro but i use desktop mode with a start menu program... (I hate the metro rubbish)

anyway, I have 2 wireless cards in my computer, One is the built in WiFi GO card on my Asus P8Z77-V motherboard and the other one is a Dynamode WL-GI-600N card that I picked up from a local shop from another computer.

When using both cards I often get a limited connection when it automatically connects to my Wireless Network (I dont use both cards at once... one is always disabled from adapter settings in the Network and Sharing Center). It stays connected for most of the time, occasionally just dropping out for no reason.

I don't think its the wireless cards causing the problem because it happens with both of them and I don't think its the router because I have just put a new one in and it happened with the old one aswell, plus its only my PC that has the problem.

Could it be something with Windows 8?

Please help!
Thanks

Pick your preferred card, don't run both and then update the drivers from the manufacturer website. I find the generic drivers in 8 are poor.

well I only installed the dynamode card to see if it was the mobo at fault. I always have one disabled and i have updated the drivers for the WiFi GO but it still happens... :s
