Right, another friend with another problem.
Basically she has a wireless network at home (her Dads PC and her laptop). Everything ran fine but when she brought her laptop back, it kept saying "limited or no connectivity". I am assuming it due to her laptop not been assinged an IP address.
Asked her to check CMD & Ipconfig and the wireless connection said her ip was 169 etc - should start with 192 right?
Services.msc says DHCP is running
Tried Winsock XP fix program, no luck
Finally thought would ask her to have a look at the router settings but she cant get on to it. She has a 2Wire (who?) router and google says the default address is 192.168.1.15. Didnt work, so tried 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 - again with no luck. She said it loaded but with a google result page
and also it kept automatically entering http:// while she was typing the address.
Is the olny solution to manually enter the IP address (how do you do that again)? Does anyone have a 2Wire router?
Thanks
