wireless making better connection...

Linksys router : BEFW11S4 V.2
Belkin G network card
2mb BT broadband

when i'm downloading on the wireless networked PC the download rate is around 10kb max is there any settings i need to change to improve the signal given?

also every 10 min or so the networked PC loses connection and goes offline :S

could be distance or just weak signal my wireless has to go thru concrete floor and its crap
