I've continued to use a wired mouse since my first steps into computing. We all remember those "balls" and how they used to pick up so much dirt!
Anyway my mice have progressed and have always been wired. I briefly went wireless about 5yrs ago. However I found the response wasn't "quite there" and for some reason the device seemed to emit a high-pitched beep constantly - nobody else in the house could hear it...I could.
So anyway, I'm currently using a Logitech G500 and for the most part I'm happy enough with it, however wireless would be an advantage. So, with that in mind - a few questions:
1. Does wireless now offer the same kind of response that a wired mouse can offer? Am I going to notice a lag these days?
2. I'm a big Logitech fan, so the wireless G700 would be an obvious choice. A good mouse? Could look at better?
3. What is the battery life like on these things these days? Wouldn't want to be running out of juice at the wrong moment and on a regular basis
4. If this is the only mouse you have (or other wireless) what do you do when you're installing an OS? No mouse control for the installation process?
5. Anything else I need to know?
Question 4 I guess I already know the answer. Setting up Windows without a mouse is not that difficult
Cheers.
