I've got a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 that I've used for years and is perfectly fine.

At least it was, until it failed.

Any suggestions for a replacement? Only real stipulation is that it must be wireless (can have its own little dongle) and not be ridiculously expensive.

Ta.

Logitech M720 is the nicest wireless mouse I've had for work - depends on how expensive is ridiculously expensive and also whether you like a more sculpted mouse vs an ambidextrous one

@Armageus Sculptured is absolutely fine, it's only ever going to be used in my right hand because I'm normal :D

That's bordering on the limit of what I'd call ridiculously expensive although I accept I haven't bought a mouse for years so I'm well out of date on the cost of things like that.

Logitech MX master all the way. Had several, best wireless business mouse. OCUK really should start stocking it.

Has some excellent features, such as a switch that lets you change between different Bluetooth enabled machines that it's been setup on.

+1 for the MX, using one now. amazing.

There seem to be multiple different versions of the MX Master.

MX Master
MX Master 2s
MX Master 3

Quite right, and a good point

MX master 3, combined with the MX keys it is a great combo. I use to switch between my Windows PC and Mac Mini pretty seamlessly, which is really why I got them, press of a button (on each...)

Battery life is seriously in excess of that quoted too, on both.

Both work with one single dongle too, and can pair to up to 3 different computers, without moving the dongle.

the mouse also has a good software trick, where you can drag it from say the windows pc screen, straight onto the mac screen (if you have a separate screen)

They're all a similar shape and philosophy, but the original is a bit dated compared to the newer versions (don't think it's actually being made anymore either). I have a 2S (at work), an MX, and a 3. All of them are worthwhile, but would probably just get a 3 again if I had some sort of disaster.

The 2S and 3 primary advantage is they take good battery life (70 H), the fancy file sharing feature is also only available on the 2S and 3.
I'd defiantly go for the 2S or the original, but the 3 upgrades are more gimikey, but still worthwhile. Price should be the determiner between the 2S and 3.
