Hi :)

I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and i'm having a few issues with the mouse,

When in chill mode on my couch I'm about 2 meters from the IR reciever for them but the mouse sometimes struggles,

I've tried new batteries but even with new ones it has happened too,
Its like I loose scroll speed, wont click properly (like a few attempts) and clicklock keeps kicking in...

The IR reciever isn't near any speakers or power cables,

Is there anyway to get a better singal? positioning etc?
Or am I just trying to use it too far away?

any thoughts appreciated :)

Just sounds like you're too far away.

I use a cheap 5m un-powered USB extension cable to run my receiver closer to the couch (on my HTPC, which only gets used from the couch)

What set do you have?

I have a cheap Logitech set at the moment and the range is shocking! Luckily, I mainly use the Keyboard and Mouse at my desk.

Good point - I've gone back to using my ~8 year old Logitech kb/mouse set, as the range is so much better than anything else I've purchased since then!

I tried a range of Logitech keyboards after my old slimline one died which had excellent range. Since then they all seem limited to 2m and I had 2 use an extension lead 2. I settled with a Bluetooth keyboard after I sent all the others back for a refund, they have 10 metre range which suits me

Whats the mouse on the bluetooth ones like mate?
I find that sometimes my mouse is abit choppy?
might be just a range thing but i think its something to do with a low DPI or something like that lol

The mouse is fine, I have the MXrevolution with MX5500 keyboard and the mouse operates at 2.4Ghz which is the same as usb speed wise and easy copes with 3-4 metres i use it with. I think its 800dpi but most mice are 800 and above these days so I would imagine maybe the surface u use ur mouse on; or distance lag. I know some mice dont like certain surfaces shiny or bumpy.
