From the reviews i heard everyone seems to say to avoid wireless mouse/keyboards for gaming because of lagging.
Is this true?
Because im kind of a hardcore gamer and im considering getting a wireless mouse/keyboard set.

Personally,

I had a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. it was not a cheap one either! Total setup was £101.

The bluetooth software was horrible with constant loose of devices. the lagg was ok 98% of the time but i did get the odd movemnent jerk.

When i upgraded i ordered the Logitech G15 keyboard not aware it was not wireless. the mistake made me consider sending it back but after using it i would never.
loved it, games awsome and no issues.

Good old wired beats my old wireless hands down.
However i also have a Logitech Revolution Mouse. Which is also awsome and dont lagg. but its not bluetooth so maybe stay away from bluetooth wireless?

Hope this helps.

I've had two wireless sets, first the Logitech MX3100 for three years, and at the moment I've got the MX5500 set which I've had since May or so. Both have been absolutely fine for games, I used to do loads of online gaming in Joint Ops and BF2 when I first had the MX3100, and never encountered lag or interference. Not had any problems with the MX5500 either; despite it being Bluetooth, I've had no problems at all with it, it's been very reliable.

I think this sort of thing all comes down to personal preference, some people find wired better some find wireless works just fine, but I would recommend a logitech setup definately, I hear their latest bluetooth products are working fine with no lag. You can always buy and return it if you don't like it :p

Exactly the same problem, I've got the Logitect £100 odd bluetooth setup, forgotten the name, the keyboard will often drop connection when playing games, but the mouse is always fine. Pretty poor and will be changing back to either a Microsoft or wired solution sometime soon.

Keyboard is awesome apart from that :(

Which set, the newest one (MX5500)? I've heard of quite a few people having various issues with the older version, but the MX5500 has been surprisingly stable for me.
