Wireless Mouse problem?

Hi everyone,

I have always had my mouse and keyboard wired directly to USB for 2 reasons - The first, I didn't want the fuss of batteries and the second reason was because I assumed they were a liability, that they would likely be more problematic whereas the wired ones were likely to less to be so.

Fast forward to today - I bought a wireless one as the kitten had chewed through the wire and ASDA didn't have any cheap wired ones. Now here is my problem... it keeps stalling if the PC is busy and I don't mean REALLY busy, it seems to halt the pointer when ever it's doing anything much more than idling. I find this really frustrating - rather than being able to jump to another window while the PC is a bit busy I have to wait for it to give me an intermittent connection in order to flick between screens. It's not unworkable, it's just that I'm not used to that sort of thing and I don't want to get used to it! ;)

My Question is: is this normal? is this the typical thing to expect now and then or have I got a bad make of mouse? (Polaroid brand from ASDA).
I really want a mouse that functions just like a wired one, except that it's wireless :)

Can anyone help clear this up please?

Regards
Scotty
