Hey
I currently own a Logitech LX8 Cordless Mouse, which I believe doesn't have the 2.4Ghz wireless technology. When I make fast movements (eg. in L4D when a zombie suddenly comes up behind you and you want to spin around fast), it doesn't manage to track properly.

I want to know which wireless mouse will be capable for this action? :)

Probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but have you considered a wired mouse?
Also it might be worth experimenting with the position of the receiver to see if you get better results with it in another position, and possibly switch off/move any powered devices (e.g. speakers) near to it.

I've got a Mamba and they're good, but expensive. They are bigger than the Copperheads, kinda like the old MS Intellimouse. So better suited for my big hands

:)

As I said, I'm looking for a wireless mouse.

The Mamba is indeed too expensive :)
There are a few Logitech ones about £25-£40. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'd try using a different mouse surface first off, it may have nothing to do with it being wireless.

I have the MX620 which is £40. It struggles to track really quick movements, so you can rule that one out.

I've never had any problems with it though. Have you considered turning your sens up a bit :p

I used to use the high end Logitech wireless mice and I never had any issues with them in terms of tracking. Last one I had was an MX1000 I think but like I said never had any problems with tracking of any kind. I think the MX1100 or the Revolution would both solve the problems you're having. The mouse you have now is more of a general desktop mouse than a gaming one.

I've tried it on my Everglide Titan, Razer control pad, my table, etc ;)

I'll check out the MX 1100. I might have a look in some stores as well. Does anyone here have a Revolution or VX Nano to confirm?

MX1000, no problems playing games like L4D.

About 3 years old, works fine apart from one of my buttons being a tad iffy sometimes, other than that it's fine.

MX1000 here too, no problems with it whatsoever. Since I've had it I've played huge amounts of COD4, L4D and Crysis. No issues with lack of tracking.

I have a G7 and I love it. They're not around anymore and it is such a pity that I can't find replacement batteries. Having said that, I have used it almost every day for the past 3 years and the batteries still last about 16 hours per charge.

Did you try contacting Logitech for replacement batteries?

Sucks that EU Logitech stopped the G7, no idea why, was a great mouse and I was gutted when mine broke and they couldn't replace it.

I've had the Mamba and disliked it, I've had all of Logitech's Laser gaming wireless mice and they all track fast movements to the T.

I currently have an MX1100 and it fares perfectly in L4D no matter how fast you move it.

Any MX Laser mouse will be perfectly fine really.
