Hey not sure if this is the right section of the forum, couldn't find a "peripherals" part so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.

I'm going to buy a wireless mouse to replace a Logitech G7, which seems to have been discontinued now. I was really pleased with the mouse and I'm looking for something similar, in the £40 price range. I'm leaning towards the MX 620, but I'm worried it may not be of the same standard the G7 was in terms of responsiveness in games. Battery life is a lesser concern.

If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it if you could share some with me. By no means does the mouse have to be a Logitech one. Thanks.

Anyone have any experience with the MX Revolution and is it worth £45? The second scroll wheel on the side seems a bit dodgy to me.

If your a big gamer then I'd say Razer Mamba or go wired. The MX Revolution is a cracking mouse but isn't aimed at gamers. £45 will get you a wireless mouse that is below par in games or a wired one that is brilliant. The choice is yours mate.

I have the MX1100 which I got after using the MX revolution for about a year.

The MX1100 is by far the better mouse. It is more precise (the sensor has twice the DPI), more comfortable to hold, the scroll wheel makes more sense (there is a separeate physical button that switches between scrolling modes and the non-rechargable version lasts literally 8 months on a single set of batteries.

However, if you are a big gamer then a wired mouse is more responsive - but if you can deal with a wireless mouse then the MX1100 is a great one to go for.

i just got a performance mx, the step up from the revolution.

The mouse wheel is SO nice, (with hyper scroll thing and a button to change to clicky scroll).

I havnt found any "laggy ness" with it being wireless.

I'm using a G5 at the moment, and from both a comfort and performance standpoint I preferred the G7, so I wouldn't class wired as being necessary for a gamer. I'm guessing the step up from the Revolution is pretty expensive. Dayyyyyuuum the Performance MX costs £70~, I doubt I'd ever shell out that much on a peripheral.
