Wireless N @ 54Mbps

I've just received a Belkin F5D8231UK4 300Mbps N1 Wireless Cable Router [F5D8231UK4] and a Edimax EW-7727In nMax 300Mbps Wireless Desktop PCI Network Adapter [EW-7727In]. After hours of getting them to connect correctly, my speeds are only showing at 54Mbps. At one of my attempts at connecting the two my wireless speed showed up as 65Mbps but thats the best i've got so far. Anyone help please?

Hey dude,

What encryption are you using? You have to use WPA2-AES to get full whack - using TKIP will limit you to 54G speeds. Also how far apart are the PC and Router? And have you enabled double width channels?
