Thinking about using an wireless N router (potential grammar check there!).

I've always hard wired my gaming rig to my router when using G but I'd rather have the router downstairs and out of the way.

Anywone else using N for gaming? Would you recommend it?

I wouldn't bother buying any of the Pre-N routers available at the moment as some of them may not be compatible with the final specification.

Personally I also would avoid using a wireless connection for any kind of gaming, especaily as the router is going to be a bit of a distance packet loss is pretty much inevitable.

You might want to consider getting some of the homeplug adapteres, the 200Mbit ones have an effective throughput of about 45Mbit/sec which is more than adequate for gaming/internet and if you had to move any files around over the network it won't take you all day :)
