Wireless N + G

Hi,

Will a Wireless N modem / router give greater range when coupled with a laptop with just "G" compared to a wireless "G" modem / router .... or will the "G" component of the laptop force the lower G protocol to be followed by the N spec router?

AFAIK G cards will work at G speeds and N cards will work at N speeds when working with the same N router. So a G card shouldnt drop the performance of the whole lot.
