Currently I have a Belkin router connected direct to phone line, this is wireless g, we have had issues with bad wireless coverage so I have a Belkin wireless N set up to cover rest of house for wireless, however I am now looking for an all in one unit, so what would you guys reccomend?

Spec:
Wireless n 300mbs
4 gigabit ports on the back for the wired connections

I don't really know much about these items so don't get too technical, just want to know what you guys consider the best for around £80 - £100.

regards,

Matt

Im currently in the same boat as you, will be moving into a bigger place and using it as an excuse to finally get onto the wireless N bandwagon.

the billion routers seem to be getting great reviews recently, look at the BiPAC 7800n, slightly over ur top end but not by much. i know im tempted

If it is fore cable then I can recomend either Netgear wnr3500l or Asus RT-N16, the asus has better WiFi as it's got external antennas. Both are compatible with tomato usb and DD-WRT firmware.

Well got the BiPAC 7800n and it's sorted my network problems out.

Now have wireless throughout the house for the first time, excellant product!

regards,

Matt

I cannot reccomend the Netgear DGN3500 unit - there is a well documented issue with the Realtek wifi adaptor as found in many laptops crashing and rebooting the router.

Otherwise, on paper, the 3500 was ideal, even 4 gigabit ports.
