Realistically what speeds would you get from one of these?

I am looking at the DG834N. I can't run cable's and don't think powerline would work very will well with the wiring in my house, so i am looking at getting a fast wireless router. :)

Will be used for streaming video from my file server.

After nearly 4 years of using my trusty 834GT I finally bit the bullet and bought myself an N router because I wanted better wireless distance than I was getting. Thought about the 834N but decided to have a change, for no particular reason, and bought the Linksys 160N.

Brilliant wireless performance through walls and distance and although its value is moot I get 300mbs on wireless which is more than enough in reality of course but handy if you game online...and its ADSL2+ ready of course.

I have no doubt that the Netgear N is as good as the GT..which was brilliant but I am well pleased with the Linksys AND its £30 cheaper. Which is my only quibble with the Netgear...its a tad overpriced in todays market.....

I have an 834N and can't really fault it, I've got the unit downstairs plugged into the master phone socket and I get coverage over the whole house with an 'excellent' signal strength on other 'N' devices.
