Hi all,

I have a DG834N Netgear 270MBPS, But the issue i have is that the router is at the front of the house and the signal cuts out about half way of the house is there anyway i can boost the signal? or will i have to get about 40FT worth of cable and do it that way? :D

you could get hold of a other router and use it as an access point. This will then give you a larger wireless singal.

Would it need to be a high powerd router like the dg834N ? / what max does the 360 wireless take? 54mbps ?

It wouldn't need to be too powerful (unless you live in a lead house!) basically stick it on the edge of our main routers signal, turn DHCP off on the new one and configure it so it picks up the signal from your main router. I have no idea what the xbox360 uses speed wise, but I'd be surprised if it isn't 54mpbs.

Have a look on google, you might be able to find a guide on how to set it up, I like to help more but I'm about to go out so..

Hope it helps.

Well thanks for your help so far blastman , i was looking at wireless extender kits! :o saved me £60 already by doing the access point thingy :D ill have a play tonight

no problems mate. Like I said have a google and I'm willing to bet theres a guide on how to set it up, if you need it.

Hope it all works out! :)
