Wireless network adapter for desktop

I need one for my wireless network and wired isn't optional so what does everybody suggest and do I get a PC or PCI?

Anyone? I really need to get this sorted. I think I need PCI but I don't know where to start really. Some are on different networks and are not compatible sometimes and some aren't compatible with windows 7 :S confusing stuff

pci card in back of machine, else usb. Most stuff is compatible with WinXP onwards

PCI-E is probably the best option as they're usually faster and have a better range.
Just go browse through OCUK and look at some PCI network cards which are compatible with your OS.

It's not hard to spec a decent one, they all pretty much do the same thing, see

They're both compatible with Windows 7, and even if the driver CD in the box doesn't have Windows 7 software, there are updates on the internet.

or maybe even a pci-e card if you have a spare slot!
