wireless network card

ok i have just finnished formatting a family members pc, they have a wireless card but i have no way of known what brand it is to get the drivers.

i have looked on the card itself but it has no manufacturer and only info i could get off it was a serial code for a memory chip! i also used everest to obtain the pci hardware number but this has not helped either... machine is running xp pro can any 1 help ?

is there any program i can use to find out what card it is?

Only way i can think of.

Connect to internet using a network cable.
Go to device manager.
right click your wireless card and select "update driver", this should give an option to search online.

Been ages since i used XP, but should work.
