Here's the setup i have:
- Wired ADSL router
- Wireless router
(those are connected via a cable)

3 wired computers connect to the wired router.
1 wireless laptop connects to the wireless router.

From those wired computers 2 are PC's running XP Pro and MCE, and the third is a Mac.

The basic problem is that when i connect the MCE machine to the cabled network the wireless dies and no machines can connect to it!

When the MCE machine is NOT connected to the network the wireless is fine.

The MCE box has been scanned for viruses/spyware.

What do you think the problem is? and is there anything that you would suggest trying?

Thanks :)

Only the wired router has DHCP enabled, the wireless one does not. Which is correct i think :)

It only breaks when the MCE machine is plugged in, which is the odd thing!

The network card is on the motherboard, and i've reinstalled the drivers and it's made no difference! :(

Lots of things might be going wrong (dodgy, cable hardware driver etc).

Otherwise I would suspect that the wired router is removing the wireless routers IP and leaving it in limbo or on an unexpected IP. Using a wired connection to the wireless router can you check what happens to the routers IP etc when the MCE PC connects?

You might want to try fixing the IP of the wireless router it may help.
