Wireless Network Help Needed

Due to the slightly crappy layout of my house I cannot have my PC or x360 wired to my network and so both are wireless which is fine for gaming or downloading but I cannot get the connection between the two running fast enough to watch freeview or any video from my pc on my 360 in my bedroom.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Probably ought to add that its an 802.11g network over 2 floors and that powerline networking would probably not work given the rather incredibly *** wiring in my house. :(

what speed does the wifi connect at? Do you not have a phone/cable connection closer to the devices? either something has to move to close the gap between the router/xbox/pc etc or you will want a better wifi router. How far appart are the the xbox/pc?

You could always try a range extender, but im not a fan :D

I would try the powerline. I've heard they can be very good even with rubbish wires. I'd edit that swear word too

They're about 10-15 feet and a floor apart, sadly the cable modem is in an inconvient place as it was used as an office for the previous inhabitants but it isn't really large enough for my PC(tis a tiny room). It's a Linksys 54Mbps router and running in 802.11g only.

I'll give the powerline option a go then.

P.S. Didn't even register in my mind that it was a swear word. :D
