Hi all.

I have 2 pcs connected to the internet simultaneously via my wireless router/modem.

However I cant get them to see each other over a wireless network:(

Using windows wireless network wizard etc both with same settings and it still doesnt work.

Both pcs are using windows xp also!

Has anyone got any suggestions as this is doing my nut,and I cant think of what to do:(

Thanks in advance for any help!

Can they all ping the router and/or each other?
Any firewalls (including the Windows one) and have you added exceptions for file sharing? Tried disabling them altogether?
Output from ipconfig /all (especially IP and subnet mask) might be useful too, as might clarifying what you mean by "can't see each other" - don't appear in My Network Places, can't access them with start, run, \\[machine's name/IP]?.

They dont appear in my network places, they can ping router fine, but time out trying to ping each other!

Hope thats a start!:)

Thanks for the very fast reply also:)

Make sure you have simple file sharing enabled. If it is then run the Network Setup Wizard.

Make sure you put both PC's on the same workgroup (MSHOME by default usually, but can be what ever your want). Also if you are using 3rd party firewall software you may need to configure it to allow file and printer sharing.
