I have a Squeezebox which seems to at times have problems getting a good enough signal from my wireless network, mainly in the evenings 6-9. The rest of the time it seems 100% great!
This happened last night and using netstumbler I could see one other weak network, on channel 1 (I'm on channel 6).
So I'm torn between it being a router problem, a SB problem, or indeed something else interfering with the network.
I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered a rise in 'noise' in the evenings?
I'm in a detached house, with the SB about 12ft away from the router (Netgear DG834GT) through a wall (with a door).
If it was a router/SB or PC problem, then I don't see why it would have such an obvious pattern (ie: occuring between around 6-9).
However, maybe the router for example is constantly playing up, and when someone else nearby is using their network (betweem 6-9) it highlights this problem.
What is also of interest is my girlfriends laptop was also having problems connecting to my network last night, and seemingly netstumbler when run on it at times would pick up no network.
My laptop (with a netgear pcmia card) has no problems.
ps: It also happened a bit on Sunday afternoon... Again, someone using their network?
ps: About 200 yards away is a guy with a massive amateur radio antenna in his garden... That couldn't be affecting me could it?
